Common Admission Test (CAT)

  1. CAT Exam: – A computer-based MBA entrance exam for admission into IIMs. Several other notable business schools consider this in India. There are 20 IIMs who randomly conduct this exam.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

  1. XAT:- stands for Xavier Aptitude Test  is an online examination test conducted by XLRI at the country level. XAT score is used by more than 150 institutes for admission in MBA/PGDM or in similar management programs. Centers are available in almost every state of India.

    Exam Syllabus:-  
    Majorly there are 4 sections; Decision Making (DM), Quantitative ability and data interpretation (QA and DI), Verbal and logical ability (VA and LR), General Knowledge (GK).
    Eligibility:-  it depends on the institute where you are taking admission as more than institute accept XAT as primary requirement. Some basic qualifications are that students must have a three yrs of graduate degree from recognized institute,  no specific percentage or CGPA required, final year students are also eligible to appear in XAT.
    Exam Pattern:- it is a computer-based online test of two hrs. consisting of MCQs, around 100 questions are there in a paper, one mark for each correct answer.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

  1. MAT:- Is a national level MBA entrance test approved by the government of India. This exam has two patterns: one is a paper based test (PBT) and another is a computer-based test (CBT). You can opt for any one, both have the same fees structure i.e INR 1550 and if you opt both it will cost INR2650. Like PGDM, MBA and other management programs. This exam is conducted by the Graduate Management Council (GMAC). There are 2300+ institutions worldwide who accept this test for admission. National Management Aptitude Test (NMAT)

AIMS Test for Management Admission

  1. ATMA:- stands for Aims Test for Management Admission. This is a National level test recognized by the Ministry of  HRD & AICTE. This exam is conducted by AIMS (Association of Indian Management School). This is an objective type test having aptitude assessment. There are 740 B schools who accept the admission based on ATMA.

    Exam Pattern:- There are 180 questions in the exam which need to be completed before 3 hrs (30 mins for each section). Exam paper is available in 6 sections and all are MCQs. Negative marking is there.

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP)

  1. SNAP:- Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) is the online test to take admission in 16 B schools for MBA program. A candidate needs to register for the SNAP Test and also register for the Institute(s) offering her/his choice of programme(s) by paying separate registration fee for each programme. If shortlisted, s/he would then need to attend the further admission (GE-PIWAT) process conducted by each of these Institutes individually.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade

  1. IIFT MBA:- This exam is conducted by NTA once a year and this is a national level exam. IIFT accepts applications online and tests and counselings are conducted offline. This exam lasts for 2 hrs. IIFT stands for Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and the exams are conducted by NTA i.e National Testing Agency.

  1. TISS-NET:- Tata Institute of Social Sciences Management Entrance Test is a computer-based test with 100 MCQs. This is an MBA entrance exam conducted in 40 cities. Students score 1 mark for each correct answer and for every incorrect answer 0.25 will be deducted.

  1. IBSAT:- Is a national level entrance test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. This exam is held online once a year. IBSAT has 9 campuses in the country namely, IBS Hyderabad, IBS Mumbai, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Pune, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Jaipur and IBS Dehradun. 120 minutes of exam containing 140 questions in MCQ format. Course offered via this exam is MBA/PGDM.

  1. SRCC-GBO

 

SRCC conducts SRCC GBO exam as an initial stage for shortlisting students for admission to its PGDGBO program in Global Business Operations. This particular PGDGBO program is related to the international business management. So, students interested in international business management can appear for this exam. This exam is conducted across various cities in India.

EXAM PATTERNS- SRCC GBO exam has a total of 160 questions which can be answered in 120 minutes. It is a Computer Based test. The questions are of MCQ type. There are total four sections- Logical Ability, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability and English comprehension & Language Ability. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded. For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

  1. MhCET – MH-CET Is the common state-level entrance test for admission to MBA programs at B-schools in Maharashtra. Colleges like JBIMS, PUMBA, SIMSREE etc. accept the score of MH-CET. Once the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of MH-CET percentiles, they have to appear for a Common Admission Process for the next stage of admission. MH-CET is approximately conducted in 50 cities. MH-CET is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).

  1. PGDBA – Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) course is analytics courses in India. It is provided by three premier institutes of India – ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta. Each institute will teach the students essential skills for excelling in the Business Analytics domain. For shortlisting students for this course, the PGDBA exam is conducted every year. It is slightly different from the other MBA entrance exams. The questions asked in this exam are from higher mathematics topics, usually studied by students of science background in class 11th and 12th. This exam consists of a total of 50 questions to be completed in three hours.

Exam pattern- This exam consists of a total of 50 questions to be completed in three hours.  For every correct answer, three marks are awarded. For every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted. There is no sectional time limit.

Quantitative Aptitude- 25Q, Data Interpretation & Reasoning 10Q , Verbal Ability – 10Q.
